Jumarnic is a home based kennel located in the central coast of New South Wales, involving every family member - Justine & Mark Yardley and their children Nick & Shannon. Whilst the Jumarnic prefix was only registered in 1993 after their marriage, Justine & Mark's involvement in dogs goes back long before that.

Justine has been involved in dogs since 1974 when she exhibited and bred her family dogs, ranging from Afghan Hounds to Scottish Terriers, but Dachshunds were always the number one priority. Justine is a licensed Hound Group judge and is on the way to completing her Toy group as all.

Mark started off handling his grandmother Shirley Mayo's standard long hair Dachshunds in 1987. It was not long after that he got his first standard smooth and the rest as they say is history!

Both Mark & Justine shared a great deal of success and were accomplished handlers and exhibitors in their own right and have continued to enjoy much success with their own homebred Jumarnic dogs. So it was only natural that Nick & Shannon followed in their parents footsteps and are now actively involved handling the family's dogs.

Nick was initially not keen to handle the dogs and was more than content to be the one to cuddle and pamper all the dogs! The family's mini smooth Gr. Ch. Solana My Noach was purchased for him, but Noah ended up being handled by dad! However Noah was definitely Nick's dog in every other way! But since 2006 Nicholas has been more hands on handling the dogs.

Shannon has been handling since the word go and is a very accomplished Junior handler having won many competitions. The family's 2 Whippets are actually her two dogs, who she trains, conditions and handles herself. She also helps her folks (and anyone else who asks) handle the dogs successfully at shows.
